DARLINGTON – In an effort to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Darlington County School District has designated Friday, September 3 as an online learning day for all students and staff.

All schools and district offices will be closed as students and employees work from home. During the eLearning day, students will have regular homework in class. Teachers will be available during virtual office hours to assist students, provide feedback and answer questions. During these hours, teachers will be accessible via Zoom, Email, Schoology / Seesaw or Remind.

The opening hours of the teachers’ office for elementary classes are: 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

If students or staff are having technical difficulties, they can call DCSD’s Technology Helpdesk at 843-398-6200, option 1.

Teachers will send out specific instructions and homework this week. Darlington County Virtual Academy students will receive specific daytime instructions from their principal. For more information on eLearning or eLearning resources, parents can visit the district web page and click the eLearning button in the middle of the page.
